About fire alarm inspection

Fire alarm and signaling systems are generally inspected, tested, and maintained under NFPA 72, the National Fire Alarm and Signaling Code, in the edition your state or local authority having jurisdiction (AHJ) has adopted, with any local amendments. The edition, the required frequencies, and who may do the work vary by jurisdiction, so confirm them with your AHJ or fire marshal.

Companies are listed here because a public licensing or registration list shows fire alarm work (for example Texas State Fire Marshal's Office fire alarm registrations, the FDNY list of approved fire alarm companies, New York Department of State alarm installer licenses, Virginia DPOR, the Delaware State Fire Marshal, the Ohio State Fire Marshal, and California CSLB), or because a contractor in the sprinkler directory has a public record listing fire alarm work. Some listed services are inferred from the business name; each profile says so. Fire Sprinkler Index does not verify licenses or services.
